A beautiful and unusual  piece of Marcasite is featured in this "Tribal" style pendant. It is held in place by a heavy textured silver bezel and hammered prongs. The stone is suspended from a sculptered silver wire ball and a heavy Sterling silver ball chain. A dark patina has been applied to accent the textures of this piece. I left the back open to display the beauty of the back side of the stone and perhaps let some light through the quartz the metalic Mariscite is embedded in. This pendant has a feeling of "presence" and is a bit heavy in a good way as if having substance. Considering this  weight and size, the pendant is designed to hang lower on the chest. The chain measures 23 inches with a 3 inch extension. The pendant portion including the wire ball measures 3 inches in length. A powerful piece!
